French Door

French doors are a type of door that consists of a frame with one or more transparent panels, typically made of glass, extending for most of its length. They are called “French doors” because they originated in France during the Renaissance period. French doors are known for their elegant and classic design, and they are commonly used to provide access to outdoor areas such as patios, gardens, or balconies.

One of the defining features of French doors is their use of glass panels, which allow natural light to enter the room and provide a visual connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The glass panels are often divided into smaller sections, called “lites,” by wooden or metal frames known as muntins. The number of lites can vary, but the most common configurations are divided into two or three sections.
